Where on Earth are the Posts?

I'm in the middle of moving from Kansas to New York City (long story) and have very limited internet availability, if any at all. I apologize for the lack of updates on the site - ESPECIALLY THE SEC MASCOTS (yes, thanks for the 25 e-mails on this topic).

Golden Tornado will be back to a semi-regular posting schedule next week.

Awesome! Here's hoping that UVA plays their part.

Ian is definitely right; UVA should also wear throwbacks, if at all possible. If they do, this should be the Cavs' helmet.

(aside: It seems somewhat odd that Tech will be wearing white hats as representative of "the 70's," since according to the Helmet Project, GT only wore those helmets from 69-71. I imagine they're choosing that getup since it's the most different than now.)

I would definitely understand if UVA does not wear throwbacks also, because of the expense, but it would be a much more complete theme if they did. One of my favorite things that MLB does is throwback uniform nights, such as when the Milwaukee Brewers wear (Milwaukee) Braves unis vs. the Atlanta Braves in Atlanta Crackers unis.

Nathan has realized that UGA meets or exceeds the standards he has set for best mascot. Live mascot, has been known to attack opposing players, movie star the list goes on and on. With this realization Nathan has retired to his parent’s basement in New Jersey.
